Triangle Town Center & Commons, the largest shopping destination in the Triangle, is kicking off its free “Creekside Wind Down” summer event series this Friday, May 20. Each family-friendly event features live music, lawn games, local food trucks and local brews from Compass Rose Brewery, as well as great deals at select restaurants and retail stores. The Creekside Wind Down is held at Triangle Town Center’s Creekside Café food court entrance every Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. through August 5.

At the first Creekside Wind Down on May 20, attendees will enjoy fun yard games like giant JENGA and cornhole while listening to live music from North Carolina-based Rubberband. Compass Rose Brewery will offer up “Agave Cream Ale” and other favorite local brews, and food trucks including Mama Voula’s, Big Island Shaved Ice, JAM Ice Cream and Virgil’s Jamaica will also be on-site.

“At the end of a long work week, we want to create the perfect night out for Triangle families, coworkers and friends,” said Jennifer Jones, marketing director, Triangle Town Center & Commons. “Every Friday this summer, families and groups of friends can enjoy a variety of fun activities. They can play games, listen to music, grab a local brew and shop seasonal sales to find that ‘perfect outfit’ – all in one place.”

According to experts at DealNews.com, spring clothing sales kick into high gear in May – with many stores averaging 30-50 percent off compared to the start of the spring season. By mid-July, back-to-school sales are in full force.

“Savvy shoppers who keep a close eye on seasonal sales will save big this summer,” said Jones. “At the Creekside Wind Down, they can find the Triangle’s hottest fashions, at the best prices – all while enjoying quality time with their families and friends.”
