More recently, Pennington held the role of Managing Director and Deputy General Counsel of BTMU and MUFG Union Bank, N.A. (“MUB”), a National Bank subsidiary of BTMU. He was responsible for the Wholesale Banking Group of MUFG Americas Legal Department, which is comprised of the corporate, investment, and commercial banking units of MUB and BTMU. Pennington also served on several Steering Committees responsible for overseeing MUFG’s implementation of the Dodd-Frank Act. Pennington embarked on his legal career in private practice, handling corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions.
