Bookmark and Share Chapel Hill, NC - September 24, 2017 -

Spice up your weekend at the 10th Annual Pepper Festival!

One of the largest chef competitions in North Carolina, the Pepper Fest heats up with a fresh array of pepper-themed dishes and brews, family activities, a kid chef competition and zesty live music!

Join us on September 24, 3-6 p.m., as chefs compete with one-of-a-kind recipes, featuring the locally bred and grown North Carolina pepper. From pepper chocolate to pepper donuts, you’ll see a dizzying collection of dishes from culinary stars like Watt’s Grocery and La Farm Bakery along with bold brews from the likes of Fullsteam, Carolina Brewery, Mystic and more!

Eat your fill while enjoying the musical line up of rock and Americana bluegrass with Lindsay Lou and the Flatbellies and The Piedmont Regulators.

Families can explore workshops, face painting, bubble art and storytelling journeys at the Kids’ Pepperpalooza. Stop by the Spicy Kids Chef Competition where pint-sized pepper-chefs face off with their own daring dishes.

Proceeds benefit Abundance NC, a nonprofit that supports sustainable food, fuels and more than 200 farmers across the state.

Tickets are available at www.pepperfestnc.org/tickets.
