RALEIGH, N.C., April 8, 2014 –Triangle Game Initiative and the East Coast Game Conference (ECGC) have announced the addition of a new narrative track at the sixth annual ECGC, taking place on Wednesday, April 23 and Thursday, April 24 at the Raleigh Convention Center, located at 500 S. Salisbury St.

ECGC will offer attendees a narrative track featuring speakers from across the game narrative spectrum, making the event the nation’s largest gathering of industry writing professionals and expanding the Triangle’s position as a key industry player in innovation and career opportunities. Track programming includes panels, lectures and discussions with lead gaming industry innovators, who will offer insight into topics ranging from AAA blockbusters to interactive fiction, wildly successful casual games, the building blocks of a successful career as a game writer and much more.

The largest gathering of video game professionals on the East Coast, ECGC strives to provide video game professionals, academics and the gaming industry with an engaging program and opportunities for networking and collaboration. Because the conference is volunteer-led, ECGC is able to offer attendees a top-quality event with access to renowned industry leaders for a more affordable rate than comparable events occurring around the nation throughout the year. The Triangle area is home to more than 40 leading game companies, including several ECGC sponsors such as Epic Games, Ubisoft, Red Storm and Insomniac Games. This year’s attendance is expected to exceed last year’s mark of 1,300 participants.
