ECGC strives to provide video game professionals, academics and the overall industry with an engaging program and opportunities for networking and collaboration. Because the conference is volunteer-led, ECGC is able to offer attendees a top-quality event with access to renowned industry leaders for a more affordable rate than comparable national events. The Triangle area is home to more than 40 leading game companies, including several ECGC sponsors including Epic Games, Ubisoft, Red Storm and Insomniac Games. This year’s attendance is expected to exceed last year’s mark of 1,300 participants. Confirmed 2014 keynote speakers include Ken Rolston, director of design for Turbine and Warner Brothers; and Mary DeMarle, executive narrative director at Eidos Montreal.
