RALEIGH, N.C., Aug. 18, 2014 – Anderson Jones, PLLC, a full-service law firm serving North Carolina and South Carolina, has announced partner and attorney Victor “Andy” Anderson will lead a program on “Construction Scheduling” at the Waterproofing Contractors Association (WCA) Convention on Friday, Sept. 5 at the Marriott Resort at Grand Dunes in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The session, which will run from 8:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., will provide attendees with insight into the use of scheduling on construction projects, best practices and mistakes to avoid. As the association’s general counsel, Anderson will also provide attendees with a legal update at the conclusion of his session.

Founded in 1970, WCA is a regional trade association dedicated to advancing the science of preventing leaks. The 2014 Fall Convention brings the “who’s who” in waterproofing expertise together to network, exchange state-of-the-art information on waterproofing and experience firsthand the latest developments in waterproofing technology and products. Anderson has 26 years of extensive legal experience representing owners, municipalities, design professionals, general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in litigation and transactional matters, collections, lien and bond claims, construction disputes, administrative law, OSHA defense, contracts, licensing and related legal matters. In addition, Anderson has 14 years of experience as a contractor. Prior to entering the legal profession, Anderson worked 10 years as a commercial contractor, later serving as vice president of Mid-South Construction, a commercial general contractor. He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) and the NCBA’s Construction Law Section, and he is a certified Superior Court mediator, notary public, and a former member of the NCBA’s Construction and Administrative Law Council. He has given many seminars on construction matters as well as taught Continuing Legal Education classes for attorneys in construction law and OSHA defense.
