Bashyam Spiro LLP Expands Legal Team - Rashmi Shah Joins as Attorney Focusing on Family and Employment-based Immigration Law

Raleigh, N.C. (February 23, 2012) -- Bashyam Spiro LLP, an Immigration and Nationality Law firm based in Raleigh, announces a new hire.

Rashmi Shah, formerly of Rashmi Shah PLLC, joins the firm’s talented staff focusing on family and employment-based immigration law.

Prior to joining Bashyam Spiro, Shah participated in the Immigration and Human Rights Policy Clinic at the University of North Carolina School of Law, helping refugees and domestic violence victims live free from their abusers. She also served as member of the Jessup Cup International Moot Court Team.

Shah earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and went on to receive her law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law. After graduation, she started a solo practice focusing on family and employment immigration and helped train other lawyers on immigration consequences of criminal issues. “I joined Bashyam Spiro because of the expertise of their team, and their unwavering commitment to their clients”, Shah said.

She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and serves on the Immigration Law Committee of the North Carolina Bar Association. She also provides pro bono immigration support to low-income families through the Legal Aid of North Carolina Battered Immigrant Project.
