TrustCounsel, a law firm serving North Carolina for 20 years, announces its increased concentration in probate, trust administration, and related tax law. The firm draws on decades of counseling individuals and other legal professionals on complex estate and trust administration matters, including trust modification, termination, and taxation.

As part of the new focus, the firm updated its website. Their ten-year-old award-winning blog has been re-launched as the North Carolina Probate Blog, providing a stream of state-specific regulation and legislative topics. TrustCounsel also produces quarterly informative guides, the current edition dedicated to identifying tax issues for executors.

“We provide trusted counsel to personal representatives of estates, trustees, beneficiaries and trust protectors, and help ensure the most efficient and beneficial administration possible for our clients. When desirable, the firm’s attorneys can also serve as fiduciary, easing the burden even more for clients and family members,” says TrustCounsel president Gregory Herman-Giddens, a Board Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and has practiced law since 1988.

TrustCounsel’s headquarters are in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The firm recently opened a new office in Miami, Florida, maintains an office in New York City, and also serves Tennessee.
