Charlotte, NC (Middle Bay Transportation, LLC) May 4 , 2017: ASF Transportation Group today announced that subsidiary operation Middle Bay Transportation, LLC has entered into a strategic partnership with FSI, Inc., one of the largest privately-owned full-service intermodal drayage provider and container yard operator in North Carolina. FSI, Inc. also operates the Charlotte Intermodal Terminal (CIT), which is owned by the North Carolina State Port Authority.

FSI, Inc. has been in business since 1989 and has 35 employees. In addition to 85 trucks, the company’s assets include 70 acres and two full-service maintenance facilities. The firm’s trucking portion will now operate as an agent of Middle Bay Transportation, a full-service agent-based intermodal drayage carrier and full transportation broker providing port and inland drayage for all types of cargo.
