Chestnut & Vine Day-of Wedding Coordination: Couples Plan Big Day, Hire Coordinator to Handle Details

Chestnut & Vine, the Triangle’s first exclusive day-of wedding coordination company, serves brides and grooms who do the planning themselves, then hire a professional to handle the day-of wedding details and logistics.

Erin McCauley, of Wake Forest, founded the company after working 15 years in event planning. As a recent do-it-yourself bride, she had a wedding coordinator who allowed her and her husband to relax, have fun and enjoy the big day along with family and guests – something she wants every couple to experience.

“Day-of is a misnomer, because my work as a coordinator begins as soon as I’m hired and continues throughout the wedding weekend,” explains McCauley. “I assist with timelines, vendors, venues, contracts, gratuities, last-minute emergencies and anything else to assure the wedding goes as the couple has planned.”

Chestnut & Vine is the first wedding coordination company to exclusively offer day-of services to Triangle couples and others who are soon to be married. The service is ideal for brides and grooms who don’t have the budget for a full-service planner, do-it-yourselfers who choose not to give day-of duties to mom or the maid of honor and couples who want to do it all, but soon realize they cannot.

McCauley is sharing tips, trends and news pertinent to those who will soon be Mr. and Mrs. in a blog titled The Corner of Chestnut & Vine. She recently wrote about wedding gratuity protocol and how blended families can enjoy a “family-moon”, instead of the traditional honeymoon.

Chestnut & Vine will exhibit during the Triangle Bridal Showcase on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015, from 1 – 5 p.m., at the Sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel.
