City Barbeque Announces Charity Weekend With Wake Education Partnership

RALEIGH, N.C., April 15, 2014 – City Barbeque, an award-winning barbeque joint built on a foundation of “low and slow” smoked meats, a wide variety of side dishes, delectable desserts, and a healthy dose of backyard hospitality, has announced that ten percent of proceeds from Friday, April 25 through Sunday, April 27 will be donated to Wake Education Partnership. The funds will benefit Wake Education Partnership’s community programs which all work toward the common goal of increasing student performance in the Wake County Public Schools System.

Wake Education Partnership is an independent nonprofit committed to finding the best ways to provide excellent public education for all students in every school in Wake County. The organization brings together business leaders, elected officials and educators to work toward the common goal of increasing student performance in public schools. City Barbeque’s support will benefit Wake Education Partnership’s goal of providing local students with the skills they need to strengthen the economic health of Wake County.

City Barbeque believes that great barbeque isn’t just about food; it’s also about community. The restaurant continuously demonstrates their support of the local community by giving more than ten percent of their pretax profits to local nonprofit organizations. Known for its outstanding guest service, City Barbeque will help Wake Education Partnership and nearly 1000 other local organizations raise funds for community-based projects this year.
