Creekside at Bethpage to Celebrate Hemingway Hall Recreation Center Completion

Grand opening celebration will include presentations by guest speaker Dr. Elliot Engel, public tours, and lifestyle class demonstrations

Creekside at Bethpage, a new 55-plus lifestyle community currently under development in the popular Brier Creek area, will unveil its highly anticipated Hemingway Hall recreation center with a grand opening event on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 3500 Page Road in Durham. The public is welcomed to take part in the special celebration.

“We can’t wait to show off our recently completed Hemingway Hall recreation center and all of its offerings at this grand opening event,” said Marie Lorimer, Vice President of Marketing for the AV Homes Carolinas Division. “Guests will be able to see and tour the beautiful facility on their own and discover the numerous amenities and activities available to our empty nester and retiree homeowners.”

Hemingway Hall will be open for the public to tour with interactive art and lifestyle class demonstrations. Those who attend will also enjoy presentations by esteemed literary lecturer Dr. Elliot Engel scheduled throughout the event at 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. Live bluegrass music and tasty foods and brews will entice as will the chance to win two tickets to the Best of Our State Pinehurst Convention with hotel accommodations.

Hemingway Hall Offerings

Creekside at Bethpage’s Hemingway Hall recreation center is a 13,000-square-foot, amenity-laden facility with a fitness center and yoga studio, computer center, art and pottery room with kiln, billiards game room and more.

On the surrounding grounds, homeowners will have access to a resort-style pool and outdoor kitchen, community garden and athletic courts for tennis, pickleball, bocce and shuffleboard. A fireplace gazebo and open-air amphitheater round out the community space.
