Time-Saving Feature Available for Breakfast and Lunch

The Daily Planet Café, Rocky Top Hospitality’s popular eatery located in the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences at 121 West Jones Street, has installed a new online ordering system to help speed up breakfast and lunch orders for patrons in a hurry.

Downtown residents, workers and visitors can go to www.thedailyplanetcafe.com and click on the “Order Online” button in the upper right corner of the home page. Ordering food and beverage items, selecting a pickup time, and paying online with Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express is quick and easy. Patrons can then bypass the normal ordering line in the restaurant and pick up their order at the end of the beverage counter inside The Daily Planet Café.

In addition to daily specials, menu items available for online purchase include brioche French toast, pancakes, breakfast burritos, salads, soups, sandwiches, burgers, wraps, small plate entrees, Pepsi products, coffee drinks and other hot beverages, smoothies and more. The ordering menu can be viewed online at www.thedailyplanetcafe.com/online/.

The Daily Planet Café is open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

“We’re located in a very busy part of town surrounded by thousands of workers,” said Leanne Diemel, general manager of the Daily Planet Café. “We’ve implemented this new online ordering system to make it easier and quicker for people on the go to swing by and pick up their orders seamlessly.”
