Enterprising Women Welcomes Five New Members To Advisory Board

RALEIGH, N.C., Jan. 11, 2017 – Monica Smiley, publisher and CEO of Enterprising Women magazine, has appointed Catherine Pera, Lynthia Romney, Kimberly Lineberger, Stacey Stratton, and Lindsey Charlet to serve on the Enterprising Women advisory board. The board is comprised of a select group of women and men who support the publication and give back to the women business owners’ community by providing leadership, motivation and inspiration to thousands of women entrepreneurs across North America and around the world.

Stratton is president and CEO of True Talent Group, a successful boutique staffing and recruitment agency known for providing its clients with the best marketing, creative and interactive talent in Minneapolis—Saint Paul, Minnesota. True Talent Group partners with small and large nonprofits, marketing groups, design firms, advertising agencies and major corporations to meet their contract, contract-to-hire, full-time staffing and recruitment needs. Founded in 2008, the agency’s talent pool has expanded to 9,000 capable professionals with expertise spanning marketing and creative services. In 2016, True Talent Group was named a Best Place to Work by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. This year, due to her business successes, Stratton was a recipient of the 2016 Enterprising Women of the Year Award, one of the 2016 (Real) Power 50 in Minnesota Business Magazine, and one of the most accomplished young professionals on Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s 2015 up-and-coming list of 40 Under 40. In addition to her endeavors with Enterprising Women magazine, Stratton is also an active member of the Minnesota Interactive Marketing Association, the Board for Art Buddies and the Women Presidents’ Organization.

Charlet is the CEO of HUB Collective, a unconventional design firm that’s been bringing client’s brand visions to life in unique and extraordinary ways for 12 years and counting. HUB simplifies complex concepts, drilling down to the clear core message. Charlet’s design career began at Second Story Interactive Studios, which catapulted her into the high-end design world at Nike Brand Design. With Nike, Charlet fine-tuned her design skills and mastered the art of project management, leading her to create her own design firm, HUB Collective. Since its opening in 2004, Charlet has guided both creative and client services, led all studio engagements, and tracked all studio deliverables to ensure each is on brand and executed on a premium level. The firm has grown from a two-person team to a robust team of creative strategists, designers and project managers with a client base spanning nonprofits, governmental agencies, higher education and retail. She’s fostered a workplace that has founded its creative approach on clear communication and authentic connections with clients. Charlet earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design from Pacific Northwest College of Art.

Romney is the president of RomneyCom, a full-service communications firm, in Chappaqua, New York. In her role, she works with leading corporations and national nonprofits to help develop and deliver their key messages to internal and external audiences. Capturing her clients’ brand strength, Romney builds message platforms that resonate through multiple channels, including speaking opportunities and executive communications, for their customers, prospects and employees. Her firm has served several distinguished clients such as the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), Bank of America Corp., Thomson Reuters, Guggenheim Partners, College Savings Foundation and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Romney’s experience spans the worlds of journalism, public relations and financial services. Her media accomplishments include a feature in The New York Times and two features in The Wall Street Journal. When 529 tax benefits were threatened, she helped defend the industry for the College Savings Foundation with placements in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, NPR and Fox Business. In addition, she has conducted message and media training for over 300 CEOs. In 2011, Romney served on the WBENC Board of Directors and received the Applause Award at its National Conference and Business Fair. She continues to serve on the Board of the Financial Women’s Association and contributes annually to the Forbes “In Good Company” series on women’s leadership.

Lineberger is the owner and president of Lineberger Construction Inc. As a civil engineering graduate from North Carolina State University, Lineberger started the company in 1995 as one of the only women-owned companies building transportation infrastructure in the state of South Carolina. The company specializes in grading, storm drainage, soil stabilization, full depth reclamation and asphalt paving. Lineberger is a charter member of the Women Presidents’ Organization South Carolina Chapter-Columbia and member of the SC Contractors License Board and Lancaster County Chamber Executive Board. Last year, Lineberger founded Carolina Construction School, an education program focusing on filling gaps in today’s construction market. The school offers classes in heavy equipment operation, truck driving, MSHA training and core employment skills.

Pera is the co-owner of Bison Scaffold & Masons Supply and owner of Bison Contracting & Builders Supply, two family-operated businesses serving scaffolding, masonry and construction supply needs in Buffalo, New York. Founded in 2004, as a certified women-owned business, Bison Contracting specializes in the installation and dismantlement of scaffold as well as the rental, sales and servicing of scaffold and construction materials for the contractor market. The company has been involved in several notable projects in 2016, including the University of Buffalo School of Medicine, Delaware North’s new headquarters building, SolarCity Buffalo and the Richardson Olmstead Complex. Pera is a current member of the Scaffold Industry Association, The State University of New York’s Buffalo Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and Womens’ Presidents Organization. In 2016, she was nominated for a Buffalo Niagara Business Ethics Award. Pera continues to stay involved around the Buffalo community, working with Roswell Park Cancer Institute, WNY Ovarian Cancer Project and St. Benedict’s Church.
