NEW BERN, N.C., July 14, 2014 – Fairfield Harbour, a residential boating and golf community located 15 minutes from historic New Bern, has announced that community members Dan Engelhaupt, Sharon Henke and Joe Schulties have been elected to the board of directors for the Fairfield Harbour Property Owners Association (FHPOA). Members of the FHPOA board serve three-year terms, and Englehaupt and Schulties are beginning their first term while Henke is starting her second.

Henke will serve as assistant treasurer on the board. Other officers include: Larry Knapp as president, William S. Beery as vice president, Chris Skrotsky as vice president of finance/treasurer, Ruth Mitchell as secretary and Ann Simpson as assistant secretary.

The FHPOA board of directors is responsible for setting policy, rules and regulations for Fairfield Harbour as authorized by the articles of incorporation, community bylaws, the North Carolina Planned Community Act and the North Carolina Nonprofit Corporation Act. In addition, the board aids Mystre’ Van Horn, by giving direction for daily responsibilities. Throughout their term, the board members will act as a town council or county commission for the Fairfield Harbour community.
