Charlotte cycling lovers are in for a treat. Giordana Cycling (www.GiordanaCycling.com) is bringing its Giordana Pop-Up Shop to Charlotte for the holiday season. Open Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015 to Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, the retail outlet will be located at 811 Providence Road (formerly Colony Furniture) in Charlotte’s Myers Park/Eastover Neighborhood.

Store hours will be Tuesday-Saturday 11:00AM-7:00PM and 1:00-5:00PM Sundays and Christmas Eve. It will be closed on Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

“After great success with our pop-up retail space in other cities, we wanted to bring it close to home with one in Charlotte for the holiday season,” said Giordana Andretta, sales manager at Gita Sporting Goods. “The Pop-Up Shop is the ultimate destination for cycling enthusiasts featuring many of the biggest names in the business.”

The 11,000 square-foot space will feature cycling gear, bicycles, and sports apparel as well as special events ranging from twice-weekly yoga classes to weekly group rides. Expert mechanics will be on site for bike repairs and fittings. Featured brands include: Giordana Cycling Apparel, Pinarello Bikes, Kask helmets, Endurance Conspiracy casual wear and more.

The Giordana Pop-Up Shop will feature the following events:

• Grand Opening Party – Saturday, Dec. 5 (3:00-6:00PM). There will be an opportunity for attendees to sign up for their holiday wish list items during this event.

• Yoga for Cyclists – Wednesday evenings at 6:30PM from Dec. 9-Jan. 6; and Saturdays at 11:00AM from Dec. 5-Jan. 9.

• Group Rides – 30-mile loop ride Saturdays leaving the Pop-Up Shop at 9:00AM.

Adds Andretta, “We’re excited to be adjacent to Charlotte's famed ‘Booty Loop’ which is a popular route for cyclists so we are a great spot for group ride meet ups and post ride coffee.”
