GREENSBORO, N.C., April 14, 2014 – Hill, Chesson & Woody (HCW), a health and welfare benefits brokerage and consulting firm that designs, manages and implements employee benefit programs, welcomes Bess Ramey as the company’s Triad regional manager. In this position, Ramey will use her 28 years of experience in sales, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and corporate relations to oversee business development and brand awareness expansion in Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem and surrounding communities.

Prior to joining HCW, Ramey served as senior manager, corporate relations and was a Board of Directors member at Prevention Partners, a North Carolina-based nonprofit focused on building healthy workplaces, schools and communities. She is a member of the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce Health Services Council and actively supports local healthcare-related nonprofits. In addition, Ramey is a former president and past member of the executive board of the North Carolina Alliance for Healthy Communities.

She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in biology from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C. A native of Mocksville, N.C., she resides in Greensboro with her two daughters.
