June 3 Event Co-sponsored by Three Local International Business Organizations

The 2015 International Summer Social is an opportunity to network and learn about key initiatives and strengths that make North Carolina a global competitor. Co-sponsored by the Organization of Women in International Trade – Greater Triangle Chapter (OWIT-GT), the Canadian Business Association of North Carolina (CBA-NC) and the Triangle Chapter of the British American Business Council (Triangle BABCNC), the event will be held Wednesday, June 3 at 6 p.m. at the Research Triangle Park Foundation, located at 12 Davis Drive in Research Triangle Park.

Keynote speakers at the International Summer Social will be Christopher Chung, CEO, Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina and Jean Davis, CEO, MCNC and former director of international trade for the North Carolina Department of Commerce.

Past events have drawn members of various associations with international interests, such as British, Chinese, South African and Canadian business organizations, as well as organizations like Sister Cities of Cary, International Focus NC, and TiE Carolinas.

“We invite all members of the local business community with interests in international commerce and collaboration to come out and network with these international associations,” said Steve Cain, president of Triangle BABCNC. “Attendees will be able to make new connections and share common interests.”
