Jason Johns, an award-winning homebuilder with more than 17 years of experience in residential construction, has joined M/I Homes of Charlotte as vice president of construction.

Johns will oversee construction for all new M/I communities, including McLean - The Conservancy in Belmont, N.C., Blume in Harrisburg, N.C., and Walnut Creek in Indian Land, S.C., coming later this year.

Johns previously worked for another major homebuilder, where as vice president of construction he was responsible for oversight of multiple divisions, including construction, customer care, purchasing, planning and design departments. He won top awards in 2012 and 2013 based upon customer satisfaction, budget management, and production cycle times. Johns also served as an environmental officer with a strong focus on meeting U.S. Environmental Protection Agency guidelines.
