Crowdfunding Weekend, an event designed to help participants launch crowdfunding (i.e. Kickstarter) projects over the course of an action-packed 13 hour event, is coming to Durham on Saturday, May 25th at the American Tobacco campus.

The event is run by Daniel Falabella and Jeff Schwarting, adjunct faculty at BYU and creators of the first crowdfunding class taught there, whose nine students launched three projects raising $46,883 in their first semester.

Due to the success of the class, Daniel and Jeff have condensed their curriculum into Crowdfunding Weekend, which is open to the public. After presenting products and forming teams, participants are guided through the creation of a crowdfunding campaign, working on videos, pictures, product pricing, marketing plans, etc.
