Raises $85K at Annual Gala, Earns 4 Star Status

The Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of Eastern North Carolina is pleased to announce that the organization enjoyed a successful first quarter of 2017. JAENC’s 11th Annual Valentines Vegas Gala raised approximately $85,000, and it earned 4 Star status from Junior Achievement USA®.

JAENC is a nonprofit organization that works in 18 Eastern North Carolina counties to facilitate partnerships between schools, sponsors and volunteers to inspire and prepare students in grades K-12 to succeed in a global economy by teaching them financial literacy, workforce development and entrepreneurship.

The Valentines Vegas Gala was held in February at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, with presenting sponsors Delta Air Lines and Verizon lending maximum support.

The Board of Directors would also like to recognize the following corporate sponsors for their recent contributions to JAENC:

Continuing its tradition of excellence, JAENC received 4 Star status for meeting four of five metrics established by JA USA: operational standards for compliance, student impact, operational efficiency, and financial stability and sustainability.
