Largemouth Communications, a full-service public relations firm, was appointed by Janus Development Group, Inc. to provide strategic counsel and lead media relations for its state-of-the-art SpeechEasyPD technology. Since September 2015, Largemouth’s public relations efforts have garnered media placements in top media markets across the U.S., and resulted in more than 2 million consumer media impressions.

SpeechEasyPD is a portable device worn in one ear that utilizes a patient’s own voice through altered auditory feedback to increase speech intelligibility among Parkinson’s disease patients. Speech pathologists and other professionals are able to assist SpeechEasyPD patients with the device, enabling them to communicate more effectively.

“We selected Largemouth Communications as our public relations agency based on their proven ability to take action on big ideas and turn them into even bigger stories that reach audiences on a large scale through diverse traditional and social media channels,” said Alan Newton, president, Janus Development Group, Inc. “They’ve already created greater awareness for this life-changing tool, including media placements that have generated business leads in a priority market.”

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a chronic and progressive disorder of the nervous system marked by tremor, muscular rigidity, slow, imprecise movement and often affects speech over time. Nearly one million people in the U.S. are living with Parkinson's disease. While the cause is unknown and presently there is no cure, there are treatment options like SpeechEasyPD that can help manage the disease’s adverse effect on speech and the ability to communicate effectively.

“Janus Development Group is committed to helping patients improve their speech with its impressive portfolio of industry-leading devices,” said Brandon Bryce, president and CEO, Largemouth Communications. “Our media relations team successfully implemented media campaigns in top markets across the country, sharing inspirational stories around SpeechEasyPD that will continue to have a positive impact on the Parkinson’s community for years to come.”

Largemouth Communications is established as a key player in the media industry, recently securing impactful stories for SpeechEasyPD in several major media markets across the U.S. The public relations firm is known for its work on behalf of MyEyeDr., Sensus, Hooters, CORT and more, across all communication channels from traditional to digital media.
