The Raleigh chapter of the National Christian Foundation (NCF) is releasing new data today, revealing record growth in 2014. NCF more than doubled totals for transactions, stock giving and number of funds opened since 2012. Also, it was a record year for grants given—totaling $13.2 million in 2014 compared to $9.6 million in 2012.

“It’s amazing to see how NCF Raleigh has continually grown year after year despite the slow rise in the economy,” said Alanna Linden, President of NCF Raleigh. “The generosity in giving by area donors totaling more than $13.2 million is having an immediate impact on real people with real needs here in Raleigh and around the world.”

Record giving through NCF Raleigh in 2014 included:

• Nearly $7.1 million in stock was donated compared to $3.7 million in 2012 (more than 87% increase).

• Nearly 100 new funds were opened in 2014, compared to only 63 in 2012 (more than 57% increase)—raising the total to nearly 400 active funds.

• Leading grant areas were Places of Worship, Evangelism, Human Services and Children and Youth Services. Through these generous grants, lives were positively impacted through a wide variety of initiatives, including those focusing on increased employment and improved education.
