Local Shelter Offers Discounted Rabies Vaccines and Microchips

Bookmark and Share Raleigh, NC - September 09, 2014 -

SAFE Haven for Cats will be holding a rabies and microchip clinic on Sept. 13 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The clinic, held in the SAFE Haven for Cats parking lot, will offer $5 rabies vaccinations and $15 microchips (includes lifetime registration) for cats and dogs.

“The rabies clinic is a great way to make vaccinations and microchips easily accessible to community pet owners,” says Sherri Orner, associate director at SAFE Haven for Cats. “Knowing the importance of keeping pets safe and healthy, it’s very rewarding to be able to provide the services at such an affordable price.”

SAFE Haven asks that pet owners bring cats in cat carriers and dogs on leashes to the rabies clinic. Pet owners must also bring the most recent vaccination certificate if applicable to receive the three year vaccine. Animals without certificates will receive vaccines good for one year only. The event is first come, first served.
