Manning Fulton Expands to Include Health Care Industry Expertise

Manning Fulton is pleased to announce the addition of Eugene F. Dauchert, Jr. and James (Jamie) H. Clarke to its corporate practice. The addition of these seasoned attorneys is a testament to the success of our clients’ businesses especially in emerging growth industries. These two attorneys broaden the firm’s reach into the health care and financial services industries, and strengthen our corporate team to be better able to handle our clients growing transactional needs.

Eugene will continue his focus on health care and corporate transactional legal matters. He has more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry including private legal practice and executive positions as in-house counsel for health care organizations. Firm clients will now benefit from Eugene’s past positions in senior management for a publicly traded health care company with operations in over 30 states, including serving as General Counsel, Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Executive Officer. His experience includes providing counsel on matters involving hospital and health system work, physician practice group issues, and billing and regulatory concerns. Eugene’s involvement in the health care community includes previously serving as Chair of the Duke Regional Hospital Board of Trustees and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Duke University Health System. He is also a Founder and Board Member of Project Access, a charitable organization created to provide access to specialty medical care and hospitalization for low income and uninsured residents of Durham County.

With more than 35 years of experience in private practice, Jamie will continue to focus his practice on corporate acquisitions and divestitures, general representation of publicly and privately held businesses, partnership law and commercial real estate development. His experience includes corporate acquisitions, financing, and general corporate representation of: health care organizations, independent convenience store chains, franchises, manufacturing companies, venture capital funds, and start-up companies. His real estate experience includes property acquisitions, ownership structurings and formations, development financing, and leasing.
