MassMutual Carolinas, a general agency of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual), has promoted Audrey Averill to Chief Operations Officer and has hired Eric Santolucito as Director of Compliance.

With MassMutual Carolinas for nine years, Averill previously served as the Director of Operations. In her new role, she will lead overall office operations for the firm’s locations in Charlotte, Greensboro and Wilmington. She will also serve as the key strategic person for developing and implementing the annual business plan and will help ensure that operational workflows are efficient. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor of arts in psychology.

Prior to joining the firm, Santolucito spent 16 years in the financial services industry with State Street, Fidelity and MetLife. He also worked in the automotive and real estate industries. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts Lowell, Santolucito received a bachelor of science in finance.
