The Lupus Foundation of America, North Carolina Chapter (LFANC) is hosting its “2014 Lupus Empowerment Series” educational seminars in Charlotte and Greensboro on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014.

The two-part seminar in Charlotte takes place from 10:00AM-1:00PM at Myers Park Presbyterian Church Outreach Center, 1073 Providence Road in Charlotte (28207). Dr. Stacy Kennedy with the Rowan Diagnostic Clinic will present Part 1: “Lupus and the Musculoskeletal System.” Dr. Sheetal S. Vora with Levine Children’s Specialty Center will present Part 2: “Lupus and Complementary and Alternative Medicine.”

The two-part seminar in Greensboro runs from 10:00AM-1:00PM at Guilford Technical Community College at 3505 E. Wendover Avenue in Greensboro (27405). William B. Karper, Ed.D., with UNC-Greensboro will present Part 1: “Health-Related Exercise for People with Lupus.” Dr. Anthony S. Anderson with Greensboro Medical Associates will present Part 2: “Lupus and Overlapping Disease.”

The “2014 Lupus Empowerment Series” is an eight-city series of educational seminars throughout North Carolina whereby participants learn from subject matter experts.
