Nexsen Pruet Continues to Build Corporate Experience: Lee Reeves Joins Charlotte Office

Nexsen Pruet is pleased to announce that Lee Reeves has joined their Charlotte office as a Member (partner) with the Corporate Law group.

Reeves has more than 20 years of legal experience, including more than a decade as a top legal officer with a Fortune 50 retail company and nearly 10 additional years in private practice with large firms in New York and the Southeast.

“Charlotte’s business focus and continuous growth make it an important market,” said Peter Santos, managing partner of the Charlotte office. “Lee’s background and experience in-house will be a valuable asset for our corporate clients and help us continue to provide pragmatic solutions with increased efficiency. He is a great addition to the firm.”

Before joining Nexsen Pruet, Reeves was Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel & Assistant Secretary for Lowe’s Companies, Inc., a home improvement retailer based in North Carolina. He led a team which handled corporate, commercial and intellectual property matters domestically and abroad. Reeves was also a key legal partner in the company’s transformation into an omni-channel retailer and development of enhanced technology capabilities.

Reeves has numerous connections within the civic and legal communities. Serving on the Board of Advisors for Hollings Cancer Center at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, he is also is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals and the Association for Corporate Counsel.

Reeves received both his undergraduate and law degrees from Southern Methodist University. In 2012, Reeves completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at Harvard University’s Business School.
