Integrated Computer Solutions, Inc. (ICS), a veteran-owned business which serves as a premier information technology (IT), application development and cyber-security consultancy to the US Department of Defense (DoD), state agencies and commercial enterprises, announced today the company has been awarded a statewide IT services contract by the state of North Carolina as part of a multi-vendor award.

ICS will provide a multitude of IT and cyber security services to North Carolina state agencies under the awarded contract. Services to be performed will include: security program assessment, application risk assessment, network architecture assessment, wireless network architecture assessment, penetration test and assessment, internal vulnerability assessment, security incident readiness assessment, security incident responses services and consulting, cybersecurity training and value-added services.

The need for a statewide IT services contract in North Carolina comes at a critical time as ransomware threats to state and local governments are at an all-time high in 2017. Ransomware attacks like NotPetya and WannaCry have dominated the cyber security landscape in 2017 forcing business and government agencies to pay millions of dollars in ransom to unlock encrypted files. Among the services ICS will provide to North Carolina state agencies are multiple cyber security related offerings to help state agencies meet current cyber security standards and prevent harmful attacks like ransomware.
