RALEIGH, N.C., July 25, 2017 – The board of directors of Passage Home, a Raleigh-based nonprofit community action agency, today announced its appointment of Lisa Crosslin as the organization’s interim executive director. A 20-year employee of Passage Home, Crosslin currently serves as chief program officer. She will assume the responsibilities of Founder and Executive Director Jeanne Tedrow, who is leaving Passage Home on July 28, 2017 to join the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits as CEO.

“The combination of Lisa’s impressive accomplishments, effective leadership skills and profound commitment to Passage Home’s mission made her an ideal choice as we considered candidates to serve as interim director,” said Alfred Leach, chairman of the board of Passage Home. “The board of directors has engaged an executive search firm to conduct the search for a permanent executive director, whom we expect to have in place by the end of the year.”

In her capacity as chief program officer, Crosslin manages the organization’s program services and federal grants and oversees all outcome reporting. Under her leadership, Passage Home has developed a strong, positive reputation for delivering high quality programs and services to the most economically challenged community members, including the homeless, veterans in need, those with felony backgrounds and those with poor to no credit.

Through her perseverance and attention, Passage Home has successfully renewed federal grants for more than 15 years with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, for five years with the United States Department of Veteran Affairs, and, most recently, and for three years with the Office of Economic Opportunity Community Services Block Grant.

Crosslin resides in Raleigh. She received her bachelor’s degree from Queens College, part of the City University of New York (CUNY).
