RALEIGH, N.C., April 27, 2016 – Passage Home, a nonprofit organization seeking to end the cycle of poverty and homelessness in Wake County, welcomes Yvonne Holley, Robert S. Matheny and Caroline Sullivan to its board of directors. These new board members will lead Passage Home’s organizational strategy and planning.

Yvonne Holley, North Carolina Representative District 38, has been re-inducted as a Passage Home board member. She served on the board from in the ‘90s and is excited to rejoin. Holley is a native of North Carolina. She graduated from William G. Enloe High School and Howard University; Holley worked with the NC Department of Administration Division of Purchase and Contract as a Senior Procurement/Contract Specialist with large and small businesses. She has a strong commitment to community service including work in the fields of education, health, financial, youth development and political advocacy.

Robert S. Matheny, the Mayor of Zebulon was elected to his first mayoral term of Zebulon in 1994. Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Matheny attended Wake Forest University. He moved to Zebulon in 1970 upon completing his service in the military. After only being in the city for four years, he was voted the Zebulon Citizen of the Year. He has a strong history of community involvement including being a member of the North Carolina Jaycees, Zebulon Chamber of Commerce, Zebulon Area Rescue Squad and numerous other committees over the years. He is currently a member of the Wake County Mayors Association, Triangle J Mayors, Wake County Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, Raleigh Water Utilities Transition Advisory Task Force, Wake Health Assistant Committee, GRVCB Conference Table Group, Zebulon Four Oaks Bank Advisory Board and the Eastern Wake EMS Board of Directors, among other groups.

As the Wake County Commissioner for District 4, Caroline Sullivan is aware of what it takes to be a community leader. Sullivan is a North Carolina native and a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill. She has served on the board for Alliance Behavioral Healthcare, Triangle Family Services, Wake County Smart Start, NC Interagency Coordinating Council for Children with Disabilities, Poe Center for Health Education, Partnership to End Homelessness, Capital Area Workforce, Wake County Commission on Women and WakeEd Partnership Leadership Council.
