RALEIGH, N.C. – (Sept. 19, 2016) – RelyMD co-founder Dr. Gay Gooden will join a panel discussion on the future of mobile health at WRAL’s TechWire Exchange Event. The event, held at the City Club in Raleigh on Sept. 27 at 7:30 a.m., will highlight the changes that mobile health capabilities are having on the world of healthcare and medical coverage with a specific focus on how the Triangle is playing an important role in those advancements.

A virtual health service that provides 24/7/365 access to board-certified emergency medicine doctors for both children and adults, RelyMD’s web and mobile-based service allows patients to quickly obtain high-quality medical care – via computer, smartphone, tablet, or phone call – with one of RelyMD’s 100 Raleigh-based physicians.

Following a breakfast, the event will open with keynote speaker Joanne Rohde, the CEO of Axial Exchange, and two panels of experts discussing business opportunities, security and legal challenges related to mobile health. In addition to Dr. Gooden, the panels will feature Chris Edwards, chief medical officer of Validic; Skip Graham, vice president of sales and marketing for MobileSmith; Dr. Steven LeBoeuf, president and co-founder of Valencell; Chris Beal, chief security architect for MCNC; Robb Leandro from Parker Poe; and Elizabeth Johnson from Wyrick Robbins.

“The face of mobile healthcare is changing dramatically, both nationally and locally,” said Dr. Gay Gooden, co-founder of RelyMD. “It’s an exciting time to be involved in virtual medicine and I’m honored to speak, alongside my esteemed panelists, about the implications this technology can have on the healthcare industry.”

Breakfast will be provided at 7:30 a.m. and the program will begin promptly at 8:30. Tickets to the event are $49 and can be purchased here: http://www.eventbrite.com/e/wral-techwire-executive-exchange-the-future-of-mobile-health-tickets-27192510531?aff=erelexpmlt.
