RelyMD, North Carolina’s only independent virtual health service, is partnering with leadership in several local communities. The Cary Chamber of Commerce, the Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce, the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Holly Springs are each offering the online medical platform as a benefit meant to simplify healthcare for their members and/or employees.

A statewide virtual health service that provides 24/7/365 access to board-certified emergency medicine doctors for both children and adults, RelyMD’s web and mobile-based approach allows the patient to quickly obtain high-quality medical care – via an internet connection and web browser or app on a smartphone or tablet – with one of RelyMD’s 95 Raleigh-based physicians. The platform is a convenient time- and cost-effective alternative to emergency rooms and urgent care facilities.

The partnerships allow Chamber members and Town employees to access RelyMD at a discounted rate, and thus far, have been met with significant interest.

Results from RelyMD’s post-consult survey used to gather feedback and track results for participating companies show that patients are finding great value in the service. To date, of the 55 percent of patients that have responded, 100 percent would use RelyMD again, 100 percent would refer RelyMD to a friend, 92 percent did not require any additional care and 86 percent responded that RelyMD helped them get back to work faster. For the eight percent of patients who did require additional care, a RelyMD doctor referred them to an appropriate healthcare resource based on their condition and symptoms.
