Smith Anderson is pleased to announce that Partner Rose Kenyon was elected a Fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers by the College’s Board of Governors. Election as a Fellow is the highest recognition by the College of sustained outstanding performance in the profession. Only seven other lawyers in North Carolina have earned this distinction.

Membership is by nomination only and is limited to those who meet the College’s criteria for a period of no less than 20 years, including the highest professional qualifications and ethical standards based on the College’s Principles of Civility and Professionalism, and the provision of sustained, exceptionally high-quality services to clients, the bar, bench and the public, as well as a record of scholarship, teaching, lecturing and/or published writings. Kenyon will be formally inducted into the College on November 7 at the organization’s annual banquet in Philadelphia.

A partner at Smith Anderson for nearly 16 years, Kenyon focuses on employment and labor law counseling and litigation across a wide variety of industries and companies. She regularly represents clients with challenging workforce issues. She has been recognized as a leading employment lawyer by several publications, including Chambers USA and North Carolina Super Lawyers, and received the Women of Justice Award from North Carolina Lawyers Weekly in 2012. Kenyon is a frequent speaker and author on emerging employment and labor law trends. For more information, visit her biography at www.smithlaw.com/attorneys-Rosemary-Kenyon.html.
