Synchronicity Coffee Celebrates Anniversary with Launch of Nitro Cold Brew

Bookmark and Share Greensboro, NC - June 27, 2016

Synchronicity Coffee Company, a micro roaster based in the Triad, will celebrate their two-year anniversary June 28 with a launch party of their nitro brew coffee from 10 to 11 a.m. at HQ Greensboro, 111 W. Lewis Street in Greensboro. The public will be welcomed with coffee drinks, giveaways and tastings of Synchronicity’s nitrogen infused cold brew coffee, just in time to beat the summer heat.

Synchronicity has grown rapidly in two years. Their client base of coffee houses and restaurants stretches from venues such as PB & Java on S. Elm in Greensboro to Happy Cappuccino in Albany and Schenectady in New York. In May, Synchronicity branched out from their wholesale business to launch a line of coffees that hit the shelves of Bestway Grocery at Lindley Park. The grocer will soon offer Synchronicity’s Nitro Brew Coffee to customers who prefer the rich and creamy taste of a nitrogen infused coffee drink.

The chance meeting of the company’s owners Armando Escobar and Oscar Cuellar happened in a restaurant when Escobar’s four-year-old son’s toy rolled over to the table where Cuellar was sitting. His son struck up a conversation, as kids who "never meet a stranger" do. When Escobar went over to retrieve him, a friendship was born. Six weeks later, they started the company, roasting fair trade and organic coffees in small batches.

Cuellar, a retired Commander of the U.S. Navy Reserve, coupled over 12 years of managerial and sales experience with Escobar’s 30 years in the coffee industry. Realizing the key to their success would be quality over quantity, they became Fair Trade Certified™, ensuring they are giving back to the farmers. Synchronicity sources coffee beans from Guatemala, Indonesia, Ethiopia and other countries around the world, and insist on using organic coffee practices for those customers who, like themselves, are invested in a healthy lifestyle and care for the environment.

Business consulting is also a cornerstone of their brand. Escobar, who began working in coffee houses at age 18 and eventually moving up the ladder to begin opening coffee houses around the country, shares with owners how to create and maintain successful businesses that have customers coming back again and again. His impact has been so significant in the industry that Armando’s Blend®, a blend he created while working for Columbus, Ohio coffee roaster Crimson Cup Coffee & Tea, is still being sold today as the company’s “signature favorite.”

The anniversary celebration with the general public on Tuesday, June 28 will begin with a segment on WFMY News 2’s The Good Morning Show at 7:50 a.m. followed by the nitro brew launch party at HQ Greensboro which is free and open to the public. For more information, visit facebook.com/synccoffee.
