The Littlest Secret Chocolatier Creates Some TLC for Fifth Anniversary

The Secret Chocolatier’s Littlest Chocolatier – five-year-old Logan Ciordia – has created a special treat for the chocolate shop’s fifth anniversary.

Throughout July, The Secret Chocolatier will feature “Logan’s TLC Bark” (TLC stands for Logan’s nickname – “The Littlest Chocolatier”), which is 60% dark chocolate with toasted almonds, homemade marshmallows and topped with toasted coconut. The cost is $13 for an 8-oz bag – with half of the proceeds supporting Jewish Family Services – and will be available at both The Secret Chocolatier locations (Cotswold and Ballantyne) in July.

Logan Ciordia is the son of The Secret Chocolatier’s co-owners Robin and Andy Ciordia, and grandson to the store’s other two co-owners, Chef Bill Dietz and Karen Dietz. The family began operations in 2008 selling hand-made confections at regional farmers markets. The Secret Chocolatier moved into its first retail space in Cotswold at 2935 Providence Road in 2011.

“Logan [Ciordia] has literally grown up in our first store so it’s only fitting that he play a role in and create a special treat for our celebration,” said Robin Ciordia. “We wanted to take it a step further and give back to an organization that has been a big part of Logan’s life the past five years. With Logan having attended the Charlotte Jewish Preschool and Camp Mindy, we are excited to support Jewish Family Services as part of our fifth anniversary.”

The Secret Chocolatier will also be hosting a Fifth Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, July 10 at its Cotswold location (2935 Providence Road) from 2:00-4:00PM. There will be free samples, chocolate-making demos and cake for attendees. There is no charge to attend the celebration.

During the month of July, customers will also receive a $5 in-store gift certificate for every $25 they spend at The Secret Chocolatier. There will also be a variety of chocolate classes and events at The Secret Chocolatier throughout the month. Class space is limited and reservations are required either in person at The Secret Chocolatier or online at https://squareup.com/market/the-secret-chocolatier.

Adds Robin Ciordia, “We greatly appreciate the amazing support from throughout the Charlotte community and beyond in helping us grow our business and continue our passion of creating chocolate moments for all to enjoy. We look forward to seeing what the next five years will bring.”
