RALEIGH, N.C. – September 23, 2014 – Triangle Family Services, a Raleigh-based nonprofit, is hosting the inaugural Fall Financial Festival at White Memorial Presbyterian Church (1704 Oberlin Rd.) on Saturday, October 4th from 10-2PM. This interactive event will teach money management strategies in order to promote financial stability in our community and is expected to draw over 200 attendees.

The Fall Financial Festival is free to the public with no registration required, and will provide our English and Spanish-speaking community with:

• 30-minute workshops to learn money management techniques

• One-on-one personal credit reviews

• English and Spanish-speaking certified financial counselors onsite

• Community resources for housing, food, employment, and other services

• Youth activities and childcare

• Games, raffles, prizes and ice cream!

Triangle Family Services is partnering with StepUp Ministry, Summit Credit Union, Latino Community Credit Union, Dress for Success and others who work to serve our community with money management tools and employment strategies. “It’s amazing how critical a few simple financial skills, like understanding a budget and learning how to rebuild credit, can be in positioning someone to secure housing, transportation and even employment,” says Harriett Reynolds, Financial Stability Program Manager at Triangle Family Services. “This workshop doesn’t need improvement,” says a past participant. “It is perfect!”
