Two luxury homes in Forest Ridge, a new home community developed by Crescent Communities in Hillsborough, won top awards during the 2016 Triangle Parade of Homes.

Custom builder Wardson Construction won gold in the $573,000 - $617,000 category for its Forest Ridge home at 201 Dogwood Bloom Lane, featuring The Shelton model.

Custom builder Amward Homes took the bronze in the $629,000 - $675,000 category for 212 Dogwood Bloom Lane, featuring The Evan model.

Entries are judged based on quality workmanship, floor plan and curb appeal. “We’re incredibly proud of Wardson Construction and Amward Homes for what they’ve created at Forest Ridge,” says Brad Whitehurst, residential development director at Crescent Communities. “These awards are confirmation of their designs and craftsmanship.”

Attention to detail is a hallmark of Forest Ridge, from its best-in-class design to its sustainability practices. Forest Ridge is a candidate to become the highest-rated and largest-certified National Green Building Standard land development in North Carolina and among the largest nationwide.

All homes and townhomes at Forest Ridge will be Energy Star-certified and certified Bronze by the National Association of Home Builders national green building standards. Certifications cover energy, water efficiency, indoor air quality, green material selection and site management.

Both of the winning homes are for sale. Highlights of The Shelton include 10-foot ceilings, custom cabinets, custom trim modeling, a screened porch, a walk-up third floor attic, and a three-car garage. The Evan offers a first-floor master retreat and guest suite, an open plan kitchen, a covered rear porch, and a three-car garage.
