RALEIGH, N.C., Oct. 19, 2015 – VMZINC®-US, the international brand name of rolled zinc products, has announced two recent hires at the company’s Raleigh headquarters. Mary Kate Morace has joined as a project coordinator, and Mike Simon has joined as an assistant sales representative intern.

Morace works in the building materials department to coordinate the sales and purchasing of materials to ensure customers receive the correct materials to their job sites on time. In addition, she helps coordinate the creation of sales contracts and purchase orders, as well as pricing materials, checking availability, arranging shipments and billing customers.

Originally from Marlton, New Jersey, Morace earned a double bachelor’s degree from West Chester University in Pennsylvania. Prior to joining VMZINC®, Morace worked in purchasing for a Lockheed Martin OSP contract in Marlton during college. In this position, she helped complete requirements for more than 25 sites nationwide. Before moving to Raleigh in July 2015, Morace worked in government sales for an electronic components distributor in Swedesboro, New Jersey.

In his position, Simon coordinates VMZINC®’s use of the Dodge Global Network. He works to identify potential projects and analyze the specifications of the plans to determine if VMZINC® products could be an appropriate solution. From there, he coordinates the sales process with the appropriate nationwide representatives and analyzes performance data.

Simon, a Pennsylvania native, is a current student at North Carolina State University. He completed his Bachelor of Science in economics in May 2015. In May 2016, he will earn a Master of Economics, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry.
