Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club Appoints New Catering Sales Manager

The Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club, the premier AAA Four Diamond luxury inn and golf club located on the campus of Duke University in Durham, N.C., today announced that it has appointed a new catering sales manager to its world-class catering division.

The Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club welcomes Angie Wright as a catering sales manager where she will coordinate and oversee assigned internal and external catering events. Wright will help facilitate successful operations of all catering functions, including food cost control and preparation, room decoration and set-up, rental procurement, event maintenance, required staffing and billing.

Wright is a Meredith College graduate and brings years of event planning experience to her position as the owner and lead consultant of Chic Details Wedding & Events, located in Cary, North Carolina. Through her years of event management, Wright has gained an understanding of client’s vision and goals to create successful special events, including weddings, social events, corporate parties and more.

As a long-time member of the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE) and International Special Events Society (ISES), Wright has been active in the industry for many years. She has served on the board of directors for the local chapters of both organizations, and is currently serving on the ISES board as the Fundraising Chair.
