William Peace University Celebrates Homecoming Weekend with Alumni Reunion and Events

William Peace University, (http://www.peace.edu/) a private four-year university located in downtown Raleigh, has announced it is celebrating its Homecoming on Saturday, October 18, highlighted by an Alumni reunion and cocktail. The University will host several other events throughout the day, including an Alumni softball game, an induction ceremony for the WPU Athletic Hall of Fame, and a matinee performance of the famous play, The Importance of Being Earnest. More than a hundred Alumni from the classes of ‘09, ‘04, ‘99, ‘94, ‘89, ’84, ’79, ’74, and ’69 are expected to visit campus.

“We’re thrilled to have our great Alumni back on campus for Homecoming,” said Julie Ricciardi, Vice President for Engagement. “We love having Alumni visit their Alma Mater anytime and interact with current students and faculty and staff. I couldn’t be more excited.”

“Our Alumni are so wonderful and we welcome them back with open arms,” said Debra M. Townsely, Ph.D., President of William Peace University. “We have an Open House that same Saturday, so I’m thrilled to see not only current students interacting with Alumni, but future Pacers as well.”

“I’m really excited to learn about our school from people who went here years ago,” said Joshua Walker ’16. “I’m looking forward to picking our Alumni’s brains and hearing stories about their time at Peace.”
