William Peace University Names Dr. Amanda K. Bock Assistant Professor of Special Education

William Peace University (http://www.peace.edu), a private four-year university located in downtown Raleigh, is proud to announce the hiring of Dr. Amanda K. Bock as Assistant Professor of Special Education. In her new role, Bock will teach education courses, advise students, and supervise field experiences and student teaching. Additionally, she will serve as a resource for students interested in special education, inclusive education, and dual licensure.

Prior to joining William Peace University, Bock, a North Carolina native, worked as a literacy consultant and research assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and taught special education in North Carolina and Georgia public schools. She is a member of several education organizations, including the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the Association for Persons with Severe Handicaps (TASH), and Council for Exceptional Children (CEC). Bock holds both a Ph.D. in Education and B.A in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, along with a M.Ed. in Special Education from Columbus State University.

Bock is from Cary and resides in Carrboro with her two children.
