Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that G. Benjamin Milam, an associate in the firm's Charlotte, N.C., office, is among six of the firm's attorneys who are co-editors or authors of the report "A Guide to Cyber Insurance," just published by RIMS, the Risk Management Society™.
Bradley partner and chair of the Policyholder Insurance Coverage team Katherine J. Henry and associate Brendan W. Hogan, who are both based in the firm's Washington, D.C., office, served as co-editors and authors of the report. The report was also authored by Bradley partner Dylan C. Black and associate Emily M. Ruzic, who work in the firm's Birmingham office, and A. Kate Margolis, counsel in the firm's Jackson, Miss., office.
The attorneys are members of Bradley's Policyholder Insurance Coverage team, which provides commercial policyholders with sophisticated representation in all aspects of property and casualty insurance.
"We are very proud of our Policyholder Insurance Coverage team attorneys who lent their insights, knowledge and time to author the RIMS reference guide to cyber insurance," said Bradley Interim Chairman of the Board and Managing Partner Dawn Helms Sharff. "The report is among the team's numerous initiatives to help our clients maximize the value of their insurance portfolios consistent with their overall business objectives."
Subtitled "Building a Program, Procuring Coverage, Managing Claims and Litigating Disputes," the RIMS report provides a reference for risk professionals exploring options to effectively manage cyber risks through cyber insurance. The report addresses the cyber insurance application process, procurement of insurance, management of cyber claims, litigation strategies, and other best practices to respond to cyber events.
The report notes, "While cyber risk management policies are necessary for every organization, reducing a category of risk to zero is impossible. Cyber insurance can help cover the gaps between a robust risk management program and any remaining risks."
The report is currently available exclusively to RIMS members by visiting www.RIMS.org/RiskKnowledge. A not-for-profit organization representing more than 3,500 corporate, industrial, service, nonprofit, charitable and government entities throughout the world, RIMS is dedicated to educating, engaging and advocating for the global risk community.
