High Tide Creative Launches NEW Campaign for New Bern-Craven County Convention and Visitor Center

New Bern, NC: Following a successful year of marketing efforts that generated $1.5 million in collected revenues, the New Bern-Craven County Convention and Visitor Center (CVC) and High Tide Creative (HTC) recently launched a dynamic marketing campaign that celebrates the New in New Bern.

“The message is simple and weaves the word NEW into all communications,” said Tom Lewis, Partner and Creative Director of High Tide Creative. “History is our foundation, yet we have so much more to offer. We want travelers in North Carolina and beyond to know all that’s new in and around the New Bern area.”

The “New” campaign includes billboards, digital media and print media, as well as social media marketing. The thematic visuals showcase visitors, exploring, dining and experiencing all the fun and flavors of New Bern. The campaign also includes an updated website (www.visitnewbern.com) that gives local merchants the opportunity to advertise in a way that is not invasive, but informative for visitors. Best of all, the website is totally mobile friendly and has all the latest information about New Bern activities and happenings.

Like past marketing campaigns led by High Tide Creative for the CVC, the primary marketing objective of this campaign is to get consumers and business travelers to book overnight stays in the area hotels and B&B’s. Once visitors are here, they have a positive impact on the local economy by dining in restaurants, shopping in stores, visiting attractions and taking advantage of the diversity of outdoor activities that New Bern has to offer.

“We have no doubt that this campaign will be highly successful, and possibly more effective than past campaigns designed and executed by HTC,” said Melissa Riggle, CVC Tourism & Sales Executive. “Since we began working with HTC, we have seen a steady increase of visitors to our area and a greater digital community, including a 265% increase in Facebook followers.”
