RALEIGH, N.C., May 8, 2017 – The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR), the nation’s largest traditional grocery retailer with 10 stores throughout the Hampton Roads region has announced that customers can receive two times the fuel points on weekends from May 5 to August 6 with a coupon.

Customers can download the digital coupon one time from the Kroger app or on the Kroger website and then shop on weekend days - Friday, Saturday and Sunday - to earn two times the fuel points, or they can use the paper coupon available in the circular every time they shop on weekends.

“Our customers love using their fuel point rewards to save money on gas while shopping at Kroger,” said Allison McGee, spokesperson for Kroger’s Mid-Atlantic Division. “This summer promotion allows our valued customers to save even more money on fuel by shopping at Kroger.”

In addition, Kroger customers can earn fuel points through their everyday purchases with Kroger’s regular fuel points program. With this program, customers can:

• Earn 100 fuel points for every $100 in groceries purchased.

• Earn double points every day on eligible gift card purchases, and earn points when they fill prescriptions.

• Redeem up to 1,000 points for up to $1 in savings at Kroger fuel centers in one fill-up.

• Redeem up to 100 points for up to $0.10 in saving per gallon of gas at participating Shell stations.
