Dr. Bobby Park, co-founder and director of telemedicine for RelyMD, will present at the Triangle Healthcare Executives’ Forum Annual Summit on Sept. 25. Dr. Park will speak on a panel focused on telemedicine in the healthcare delivery system.
The conference, entitled Facing a Changing Physician Leadership Landscape, will take place at the Rizzo Center in Chapel Hill. Dr. Park will serve on the telemedicine panel alongside Amy Vance, senior vice president of population health and value based care at Novant Health, and Dr. Alex Cho, medical director program lead of telehealth network services at Duke University Health System.
“In the past, many patients automatically turned to an emergency department or urgent care when illness or injury occurred outside of the small window of standard doctor’s office hours,” said Dr. Park. “Now, telemedicine is being recognized as a way to access quality healthcare around the clock, increasing value for everyone involved. It’s a huge advancement that’s changing the way we practice and lead as physicians.”
