The Rotary Clubs of Apex Sunrise and Cary MacGregor – organizers of the annual Triangle Oktoberfest – have selected The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as the main charity beneficiary for this year’s event. The Fourth Annual Triangle Oktoberfest will be held at Cary’s Booth Amphitheatre October 6-7 and will combine family-friendly fun and an ongoing commitment to philanthropy.

Triangle Oktoberfest is the largest Oktoberfest celebration in Central North Carolina and annually attracts thousands of guests. Proceeds benefit the Triangle Oktoberfest Rotary Foundation, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The Foundation will present The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society with a sizable donation based on attendance and funds raised.

Tickets for this family-friendly event will go on sale June 24 through the Booth Amphitheatre Box Office, http://bit.ly/2sEvyxS, or by calling 1-800-514-3849. Box Office hours are Monday through Friday, noon-6 p.m.

“The German word ‘Gemütlichkeit’ means warmth, friendliness and good cheer,” said Triangle Oktoberfest Bürgermeister Randy Bossé. “Triangle Oktoberfest has and will continue to embody Gemütlichkeit through a communal sharing of culture, fellowship and charitable giving. We hope everyone will consider coming out this year for a good time and a great cause.”

“The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s North Carolina Chapter is honored to be selected as the charity partner for the 2017 Triangle Oktoberfest,” said Emily Blust, executive director of the North Carolina Chapter. “We look forward to partnering with this great event to further improve the lives of cancer patients and their families across North Carolina.”
