Tom Johnson to Receive North Carolina “Leaders in the Law” Award

Nexsen Pruet attorney Tom Johnson has been chosen as an honoree for North Carolina Lawyers Weekly’s 2014 “Leaders in the Law” awards.

For the past six years, the publication has presented the awards to honor 25 of the state’s legal professionals who have been recognized for their accomplishments and leadership in the industry and their communities.

The awards ceremony is being held on Friday, September 19, at the Raleigh, NC Marriott City Center from 11:30am - 1:30pm. Register here.

This is the sixth consecutive year that a Nexsen Pruet attorney has received this award. Dan Boyce and Grainger Pierce were recognized by NCLW in 2012 and Chris Lam in 2013.

Tom Johnson practices with Nexsen Pruet’s real estate group and is leader of the firm's zoning and land use law practice subgroup. He is a Board Certified Specialist in Real Property Law - Business, Commercial, Industrial, and Residential Transactions. Tom has more than two decades of experience in a broad range of real estate matters. His background in the telecommunications industry includes all matters related to developing wireless networks in North and South Carolina. In his land-use practice, he has assisted in the permitting of large multi-use commercial developments and residential developments. Tom has appeared successfully before numerous city and county planning commissions, zoning boards and elected bodies in North and South Carolina.
