24 Hours of Booty, Inc. announced today that registration for its 2012 cancer charity cycling events, including the 11th Annual 24 Hours of Booty presented by Levine Cancer Institute, will kick off on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012 at 9:00AM (EST). All participants must register online at www.24hoursofbooty.org.

The annual charity non-competitive cycling event for all ages and cycling abilities is scheduled to roll on the “Booty Loop” in Charlotte’s Myers Park neighborhood from 7:00PM Friday, July 27 to 7:00PM Saturday, July 28, 2012. To safely accommodate riders on the 3-mile closed course, event registration will be capped at the first 1,200 registrants.

To participate in the Charlotte event, each rider is required to pay a $65 fee to register and raise a minimum of $400 prior to the ride. Forty-eight hours after registration closes out, 24 Hours of Booty will open its reboot program for the Charlotte event. For more information or to sign up for the event on Jan. 4, visit www.24hoursofbooty.org.

“Since registration tends to fill up quickly, we want to give everyone as much of a heads up as possible to mark their calendars and be ready to sign up online on January fourth,” said Basil Lyberg, executive director of 24 Hours of Booty.

In addition to the Charlotte event, 24 Hours of Booty will also host the Fourth Annual 24 Hours of Booty of Columbia, Md. at the Gateway Business Park “Booty Loop” on Saturday, Aug. 25-Sunday, Aug. 26 2012 and the Third Annual 24 Hours of Booty of Atlanta on Saturday, Oct. 6-Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012. The location for the Atlanta event is still being finalized.

In addition, 24 Hours of Booty will be expanding to Indianapolis – its fourth market – where it will host the 24 Hours of Booty of Indianapolis at Butler University on Friday, June 29-Saturday, June 30, 2012.

Added Lyberg, “We look forward to another great year and appreciate the Myers Park community for opening up their neighborhood to us and to all of our riders, sponsors, and supporters for helping in the fight against cancer.”
