Plum Whitney has joined 24 Hours of Booty, Inc., which runs the Official 24-Hour Cycling Event of LIVESTRONG and the premier national 24-hour road cycling charity event in the country, as Director of Operations.

While new to the 24 Hours of Booty staff, Whitney is no stranger to the organization. Since 2007, Whitney has played a lead volunteer role in: establishing and coordinating food and beverage operations; overseeing event logistics; streamlining operations procedures; managing the Booty Store; and serving on the Booty Organizing Committee. Previously, she worked in the event operations and hospitality industries for 15 years, including time with five-star hotels, restaurants and cruise ships. A native of England, Whitney attended St. Austell College in Cornwall.

“I can’t think of a more perfect person than Plum [Whitney] to serve in this new role given her extensive event operations experience and background with 24 Hours of Booty,” said Basil Lyberg, executive director of 24 Hours of Booty. “She has been a key volunteer for us during the past five years and we are thrilled to have her on our team. Her expertise, leadership abilities, and organizational skills will help us further our mission and achieve continued growth and success.”
